The Long Awaited Family Photos

Finally, we get to include this little one in our family pictures. She has been wondering why she's not on the wall. As you can see, we absolutely dote on her.

This place holds a special spot in my heart. Grandpa Carmi's barn in Tremonton.

I sure love these people! Feeling blessed.

Thank you Krista Payne for another great photo session. You're awesome!

That Thing With Feathers

I will explain. My favorite poem is "Hope" by Emily Dickinson.

Hope is the thing with feathers

That perches in the soul,

And sings the tune without the words,

And never stops at all,

And sweetest in the gale is heard;

And sore must be the storm

That could abash the little bird

That's kept so many warm.

I've seen it in the chillest land,

And on the strangest sea;

Yet, never, in extremity,

It asked a crumb of me.

Somehow this has always stayed in my memory, yet now as the world grows more frightening and uncertain, this idea of hope seems to become of increasing importance. Hence, That Thing With Feathers.
