Happy Halloween!

It was devastating to me that Ty couldn't be home on Halloween.  He was in China for work.  China!  But then I thought about our cousin Reed and his family who are facing all the holidays and every day without their husband and father.  Then, I was just grateful and empathetic.  Still, it wasn't quite the same.  He always takes the kids trick or treating while I stay home and pass out the candy.  Gman was going to be the candy passer outer, but last minute decided to head to a party.  I went with the kids just for part of our street and then took LittleMiss home.  They did the rest on their own.  They had a good time though.  And they all looked adorable.

Ok, let's go already!

Aunt Mamy's 40th Birthday Bash

Aunt Mamy openening her birthday present.  A "Flatterbox" full of loving sentiments from the whole family.  Unfortunately, the card from Makade was on top and that started everyone off in tears!

We love you Amy!  You are the best!

See Aunt Mame, she is like you.  Hates to get her hands dirty!

Halloween Art

I love doing art with the kids.  They love doing art with me, so it's a win - win.  Here are some of my favorites:

A New Hunter

Gman spent hours online, in class and at the range in order to get his hunting license.  That's pretty great.  I guess he wants to hunt.  We're not big hunters here at our house.  I about fell off my chair when Ty said he'd better get his hunting license too.  Not that he would hunt, he's got a pretty soft heart.  Just to be more comfortable with the guns we own I think.  Since Ty's not a marksman, we asked Uncle Derek to help G get ready for his shooting test.  What a great uncle!  He came and picked him up right after school and spent the rest of the evening with him.  He texted me and said, "He's a dead-eye!"  I was glad for that.  Derek said he was very methodical and took his time.  So, like his mama, he shot better than the rest of his group.  (I beat all the scouts when I took Hunter's Ed as a girl.....  just sayin'......and that was a long time ago.)  Good job G!
